13TH ANNUAL “TOYS 4 TOTS” TOURNAMENT Details

  • Saturday, December 13th Men's Tournament & December 14th Coed Tournament
  • Tournament fee is $395/team (includes umpire fees). 4-game guarantee (3 Pool Play games followed by Single Elimination). Potential to be 2-day event.
  • Taking the first 24 Men's teams. (possible openings for 32 teams with 2-day event)
  • Gate fee is $10.00 for all players and spectators. Children 10&under are FREE.
  • Last day to sign up will be Dec. 8th at 4pm, or once Full

 

TO PREVENT TEAM JUMPING:

*EVERY TEAM IS REQUIRED TO TURN IN A ROSTER TO UMPIRE AT THE FIRST TWO GAMES.

  • Tournament fee is $395/team. (Umpire fees included in tournament fee this year). TOURNAMENT FEE MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE SECOND GAME STARTS or FORFEITS WILL BE GIVEN OUT TO UNPAID TEAMS.
  • 3-game guarantee (2 Games of Pool Play followed by Upper & Lower Single Elimination Bracket).
  • First 24 teams signed up will play.
  • The single elimination bracket will be split into Upper & Lower Divisions.
  • ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS BOTTLES IN THE PARK , DUGOUT , OR IN THE PARKING LOT! 
  • EACH TEAM is REQUIRED to bring A MINIMUM OF 10 unwrapped toys/stuffed animals/etc... ( we will also be taking any canned food, blankets, and jackets to be donated as well.) ALL TOYS MUST BE CHCKED IN AT TOURNAMENT OFFICE.
  • Gate fee is $10.00 for all players and spectators.  Children 12&under are FREE.   CASH ONLY AT THE GATE!

Rules & Regulations

CALIFORNIA STORM 

2024 ADULT TOURNAMENTS 

The following rules are designed to conserve time and eliminate confusion.
Please follow them, as they WILL be enforced. 

  1. The tournament Directors decisions are final.  - Brooke Johnston
  2. Play with the team you came with. (U.S.A. Rules apply) No team jumping.  If you are team jumping, you will automatically be ejected from the tournament along with the coach of the team you jumped to and are playing for. 
  3. Umpires have Official Time. Teams are responsible for verifying start/end time of game at start.  
  4. Game time is forfeit time. No new inning will start after 55 minutes.  Time limit is 60 minutes. NO TIES! 
  5. Teams must be at field ready to play 15 minutes prior to scheduled game time. In pool play games, coin flip will determine the home team.  In single elimination games, the higher seed will be the home team.  (NOTE: In bracket games with no seeding, coin flip will determine the home team.)   
  6. Run rule: 20 after 4 innings, and 15 after 5 innings including championship game.  
  7. Ties: NO TIES! After time expires or 7 innings the game will immediately go into the tie-breaker system, the LAST BATTER will be placed on second base.  This will continue until winner is decided.  
  8. Batters begin with a 1 ball and 1 strike count. NO EXTRA FOUL. 
  9. Strike will consist of a mat and will be 6 to 12 foot arc.  
  10. Home Runs – 2 per game/team.  
  11. MEN’S - One courtesy runner per inning PLUS THE PITCHER.  
  12. Teams may start a game with 8 players. Only 2 additional players can be placed at the bottom of the lineup if the team has already batter around.  12 players max can be batted in lineup.
  13. No steel cleats. IMMEDIATE REMOVAL OR EJECTION.
  14. Any team that causes a disruption to the tournament will be removed from the tourament/facility per Directors discression. -Umpires will toss players at their discression. 2 OR MORE EJECTIONS FROM A TEAM WILL RESULT IN AUTOMATIC FORFEIT AND TEAMS REMOVAL FROM THE TOURAMENT.
  15. All bats must meet current U.S.A. approval and / or tourney restrictions. (No USSS/ Senior Bats)
  16. In the event of weather delays a one pitch rule will be enforced to remedy schedule conflicts. All other rules are U.S.A. All other questions are covered by Rule #1.
