Cassie Gasper's Experience
Coach Cassie Gasper brings elite collegiate playing experience and a passion for player development to the Monterey Bay softball community. She competed at both the NCAA Division I and Division II levels, beginning her career at the University of Missouri, where she earned 13 wins, threw a complete-game shutout against Arizona State in her Division I debut, and recorded multiple wins over top-25 opponents. She was also recognized as an All-America Scholar-Athlete.
After transferring to Cal State Monterey Bay post-COVID, Cassie emerged as one of the top pitchers in the CCAA. She delivered one of the conference’s strongest seasons in 2022 and was named CCAA Most Valuable Pitcher in 2023.
Cassie now coaches travel ball and high school softball in the Monterey Bay Area, focusing on developing strong fundamentals, mental toughness, and confident competitors who understand the game and trust their preparation.
Coaching Philosophy:
“My goal is to develop pitchers who are confident, disciplined, and accountable. I believe success comes from attention to detail, consistent work, and mental toughness—especially when things get hard. Softball is a tool for teaching life skills like resilience, preparation, and self-belief. I want my athletes to know that they are capable of more than they think, and that effort and attitude will always matter.”
