Coach Janice Bramers's Experience

Janice Bramers – Vice-President, California (Salinas) Storm Fastpitch

Janice Bramers is a cornerstone of youth and competitive softball with over 35 years of coaching experience. As the Vice-President and Co-Founder of the California (Salinas) Storm Fastpitch organization, Janice has dedicated her career to developing elite athletes, managing team operations, and shaping the future of softball in the Salinas Valley.

In addition to her executive leadership roles, Janice serves as Director of Team Operations and Co-Manager of Facility Operations, while also providing expert instruction in hitting, pitching, and defense.

Her extensive coaching career spans various levels of competition, including:

33 years with Salinas Storm Fastpitch

9 years coaching Varsity High School softball

15 years coaching Youth Recreational softball

Janice is a proud member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and has led teams to numerous accolades and championships, including:

National Champion – California Storm (PAL), 1992

Salinas Valley Hall of Fame Inductee (Team), 2018

ASA Nor-Cal State Champions – Salinas Storm (2006, 2010, 2012)

USSSA Nationals – 3rd Place, Salinas Storm (2009)

ASA Nationals – 6th Place (1996), 8th Place (2005)

PGF Nationals – Premier 11th Place (2013)

Salinas High School CCS Champions (Division 1, 1998)

Coaching Philosophy:
Janice believes that building strong, disciplined fundamentals at an early age is the foundation for a successful athletic career. Her coaching approach emphasizes skill development, mental toughness, and team chemistry—the “magic” that creates a winning culture. She is deeply committed to fostering a growth mindset and instilling a lifelong passion for softball in every athlete. Above all, Janice aims to help players navigate life with confidence, resilience, and a genuine love for the game.
